Committees
The following committees provide opportunities for members to focus
their skills and interests in the TxPEC mission. Typically committees
meet in conjunction with the two-day meetings of the Board of
Directors and the TxPEC Membership.
Community Outreach
Supports and assists the development and implementation of Local
Regional Partnerships.
Encourages dialogue among health professionals, communities, clergy,
legal experts, insurers, policy makers, media representatives, and
individuals in order to raise awareness for improving care in the
State.
Education
Enhances public and professional knowledge and practice in end-of-life care by
offering conferences, seminars, and other educational activities.
Fundraising
Develops a resource plan to provide on-going, long-term sustainability
for funding the organization.
Seeks grants and other sources of support for the organization and its
programs. Assists Local Regional Partnerships in developing a
proactive fundraising program.
Membership
Recruits members, determines categories of membership, and makes
recommendations to the board.
Public Policy
Evaluates current policies in all public policy arenas and makes recommendations that promote
ethical, compassionate, and affordable care.
Media
Develops relationships with state media representatives to provide
public awareness for TxPEC issues and events.
